Yemen, China discuss preparations for Arab –Chinese Forum

Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulmalik al-Mikhlafi discussed on Tuesday with Chinese Charge D'Affairs in Yemen coordinating the two countries' positions in international forums for serving their interests.
The meeting tackled also preparations for holding Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum to be held on June 2018 and Chinese observations on the outcomes of the forum.
Minister al-Mikhlafi reviewed recent political developments in Yemen and efforts of the UN Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffith and his meetings with different Yemeni factions.
He confirmedsupport to the political process in Yemen on the bases of the three basic foundations; the GCC Initiative, the Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.
The Chinese Diplomat confirmed his country's firm support to the legal government and support to efforts of the UN envoy for achieving peace in Yemen.
