CHR: Houthis killed and injured 53 persons in Taiz last March
[10/04/2018 01:31]
TAIZ-SABA
The Coalition for Humanitarian Relief, a Yemeni NGO, said that Houthis killed 53 persons in including women and children in Yemen's southwestern city of Taiz last March.

In a report issued on Monday documenting the abuses against civilians in the city last March, the CHR said that "nine children and three women were killed, and three children, four women and 34 male adults were injured as a result of heavy shells including rockets that the radical rebels fired into the city's neighborhoods and places packed with civilians."

"The conflict left 120 children orphaned and forced the displacement of 47 families from Saber al-Mawadem and Salah districts. Forty eight families lost their breadwinners and eighty two persons lost their earning capacity as a result of sustained injuries," said the report.

The report confirmed the international health organizations' fears that cholera is seeing a resurgence as the rebels have been besieging the city and cutting off humanitarian including medical supplies to it for more than three years now.
