The Foreign Ministers of the Non-Aligned Countries praised the efforts of the Yemeni government in combating terrorism and extremism, especially the fight against Al-Qaeda, and called on the international community to support the Yemeni government in these efforts.
At the end of their 18th meeting in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku, the ministers welcomed the outcome of the humanitarian aid pledge conference for Yemen held in Geneva, Switzerland on April 3.
The Ministers urged all Yemeni parties to engage in good faith in consultations without preconditions in accordance with the GCC initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, in particular resolution no. 2216.
They expressed their full support for the good efforts of the UN Secretary-General and his Special Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths toward mediating a settlement that ends the conflict, resumes the political process and resolves any differences through dialogue and peaceful means.
The Ministers commended the international community's commitment to the unity, sovereignty, security, stability and territorial integrityof Yemen.
