[05/04/2018 02:08]

RIYADH-SABA

The Foreign Ministry has condemned the Houthi putschist militia's attack against Saudi oil tanker in the international territorial water western Hodeida seaport on Tuesday.

The Ministry asserted in statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) the Houthi militia and its baker Iran undoubtedly has become an existential threat to the international peace and security as well as international marine navigation.

The Ministry's statement read:"It is not the first direct threat carried out by the putschist militia to international navigation off coast the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandab Strait, it happened that several attacks targeted other ships, and hostile practices such as planting marine mines in the Yemeni territorial waters, alarming statements by Houthi militia's leaders in which they openly declared they are ready to strike the international navigation in the Red Sea".

The Foreign Ministry went on" While the UN's special envoy Martin Griffith along with International community have been making tireless efforts aimed to resume peace process in Yemen in conformity with the GCC's Initiative, its operational plan, outcomes of the National Dialogue and UNSCRs, mainly 2216, Houthi putschist militia resorts to military operations intend to undermine peace efforts and good offices as it is clearly evidenced in this attack and earlier ballistic missiles attacks on Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It isn't a surprise as such sectarian militia can't find a room but amid warfare and destruction".

The Ministry stated that over the past three years, the militia sought to undermine peace prospects every time there were efforts aiming to bring about peace. The fact is that Houthi militia has never been willing to come to peace.. Here is the problem about peace process in Yemen.

The Foreign Ministry came to say against this background, we called on the International community to take responsible position, condemn such practices, protect international navigation, support they Yemeni government and military to retake all seaports and Yemeni seashores, and press the militia to come to peace.
