In cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Wojood Foundation for Humanitarian Security has organized a workshop on "Gender-Based Violence" under the slogan "Human Rights- Protection Efforts and Decision".
Forty civil society organization officials, human rights activists, judges and media professionals have learned various concepts about gender-based violence and means of resisting it, the negativity of racial discrimination and the laws and international conventions that counter discrimination.
"This event aims to let people know what is gender-based violence on the anniversary of the International Day for EliminatingRacial Discrimination(that had been marked worldwide on 21 March)," said MahaAwad, the chairwoman of Wojood.
