Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) launched on Sunday here the cleaning project for a number of districts in coordination with Aden Cleaning Fund.
The project, which consists of three phases, the first will be lifting masses of wastes in different districts starts in MimlahKhourMaksar, removing sand dunes from Aden-Abyan Road and cleaning war wastes, said the project coordinator Abdullah Sari.
The first phase lasts for seven weeks with total cost amounting to USD 50 thousand. The second phase of the project, says Sari, includes bringing 100 garbage trucks from Turkey to Yemen within Turkish assistances to Yemen.
He added that the third phase includes twining between Istanbul municipality and Aden Cleaning Fund for combating cholera and diphtheria within the project's health environment activities.
For his part, Director of Aden Cleaning Fund Khalil Ahmad said the process of carrying out the project comes in coordination with the fund for improving the city and providing better services.
He made it clear that the fund prepared plans in field of cleaning across Aden but due to capability shortage, they could not implement those plans in different areas.
