Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin-Daghr discussed on Wednesday with US Ambassador to Yemen Mathew Tueller efforts of normalizing conditions in liberated provinces and fighting terrorism and cracking down al-Qaeda and ISIS elements.

Bin-Daghr uttered government support to efforts of the UN Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffith, who clearly expressed intention he would build on the three references for political solution in Yemen.

He confirmed that peace remains the basic choice for reaching a political agreement, pointing out that the track of peace is the government's demand. If Houthi rebel militia do not abide by peace, the military resolution in warfronts is going on for the interest of the national army in Baidha', Taiz and Nihm, as well as in western coast, and there are good news of imminent victory.

"The rebel militia relinquished their commitments and honoring their pledges and agreements and Geneva Talks 1 and Geneva 2 and Kuwait Talks," said Prime Minister. "Previously, they failed confidence-building measures and releasing prisoners by the two parties without conditions and they repeatedly do not show any goodwill but being involved in bloodshed and humiliating civilians' lives and trading with civilian rights has become the sole mean for the militia to finance their military operations."

He added that the government, with support of the Arab Coalition, is proceeding with building military and security units from all provinces for protecting the republic and defending the unity and the Federal Yemen. These units will also deter firmly terrorists and will impose the rule of law.

For his part, the US Ambassador expressed pleasure for the meeting and valued efforts of the government in Aden, pointing out that the legal government is prime partner in fighting terrorism.

"The US Department supports Yemeni legal government and people and supports efforts of the new UN envoy for peace process he commenced," said Tueller.
