Above 40 thousand killed, 27452 injured by Houthi militia gunfire, says minister

Minister of Human Rights Mohammed Asker has confirmed that crimes and violations committed by Iran-backed Houthi militia against the Yemeni people resulted in killing (13389) among of them (13553 children and (842) women. Total number of the wounded people reached(27452).

Some (439) people were killed and (1377) more injured by landmines planted by the militiamen from September 2014 through February 2018.

Asker revealed these figures at seminar organized by the Ministry of Human Rights and Yemen's permanent mission to the UN Office in Geneva. The function held on the sideline of the 37th Round of Human Rights Council.

Asker stated that the Houthi militia has caused crippling damages to infrastructure, public and private-owned property, detonated houses, mosques and violated human rights and children." children recruitment rates increased as many as ten times in 2017".
