The Office in charge of coordinating relief and humanitarian aids provided by the GCC to Yemen held a meeting on Friday in Riyadh with presence of representatives from the British Ministry for International Development.
The chairman of the Coordination Office—representative of KSrelief Center—Abdullah Arrowyli made clear that the meeting came to demonstrate that KSrelief and the Coordination Office are keen to put in place the outcomes of the Gulf-British summit held in Bahrain recently.
Minister of Local Administration- Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee—Abdulraqeep Fatah gave an inclusive presentation about the humanitarian situations in Yemen.
Fatah appreciated the announcement made by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to provide $1.5 billion to fund the UN Humanitarian Response Plan of 2018. The plan total cost estimated at $2.95.
The meeting touched upon what have already been offered by the GCC this year and are planned to be provided in the forthcoming period.
The British side voiced willingness to cooperate with the Office of Coordination to ensure access of relief assistance to all Yemeni regions.
