Yemeni Minister of Guidance and Islamic Affairs Ahmad Attia has called on the International Community to stand united for facing terrorism that targets innocent people and destabilizes the region and the whole world.

In Yemen's speech he delivered in the International Supreme Conference Council of Islamic Affairs in its 28th Round is being held here, Minister Attia has highlighted Arab and International cooperation for combating terrorism.

He made it clear that Yemen- under President Abd-Rabbo Mansour Hadi- stand firm in facing terrorism, reviewing dangers of terrorism which targets military officers and preachers of mosques.

He pointed out that Yemen has been experiencing both forms of terrorism; sectarian terrorism practiced by Houthis, who target civilians across Yemen and the terrorism known by International Community.

Minister Attia demanded clear definition for terrorism for not being practiced by terrorist groups as pretext for political and religious purposes. He renewed rejection of the government of Yemen for all forms of terrorism and violence whatever its reasons are.

He confirmed that Islam is " the religion of tolerance and peace and is the culture of dialogue and moderation."
