Yemen, Japan discuss implementation of development projects

Minister of Local Administration and Head of the Supreme Relief Committee Abdulraqeeb Fath discussed with Japanese Charge d' Affairs in Yemen on Wednesday mechanism of using Japanese donation granted to Yemen's humanitarian and development projects.
The donation is estimated at USD 39 million.
Fath confirmed that the committee works currently with donors on transferring into the second relief phase, which includes development projects.
The Supreme Relief Committee (SRC) welcomes all efforts of donors for improving humanitarian and development situation in Yemen, whether via direct support or UN organizations.
He confirmed commitment of the government of Yemen for providing all support and facilitations in accordance with the international humanitarian laws associated with transparency and honesty.
He called on Japanese International Cooperation Agency to operate from Aden, highlighting Japanese government's allocations of 16 training programs to a number of Yemeni ministries.
For his part the Japanese diplomat expressed pleasure for efforts exerted by the government of Yemen in regaining order.
He showed willingness on expanding partnership with the government in different fields.
