Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin-Daghr discussed on Monday with UK Charge d' Affairs in Yemen Fauna Walker UK support to the government of Yemen for achieving peace and stability and fighting terrorism, drying up its resources and cracking down on its elements.
Bin-Daghr confirmed that realizing peace and stability and regaining the state and building the federation of Yemen require integration of all local, regional and international efforts agreed upon by the international community resulted in the UN Resolution 2216, which has been issued for supporting the Gulf of Cooperation Council's initiative and its executive mechanism for just sharing of power and wealth in the six regions.
" All components participated in the National Dialogue Conference, including Southern Movement and Houthis, have signed the dialogue document, which rebelled by Iran-backed Houthi militia and used weapons and waged war on Yemeni people and looted the cash reserve of the Central Bank estimated at USD 5.2 billion and YR 2 trillion," he said.
Bin-Daghr confirmed keenness of his government on achieving peace in accordance with the three references, pointing out that the new UN envoy to Yemen will be supported by President Hadi and the government for accomplishing his duty in accordance with the UN related resolutions on Yemen.
He shouldered the international community the responsibility of ending all forms of violence and coups erupted by different militias or armed groups against the state, noting to recent incidents in Aden (armed rebellion of the Southern Transitional Council against the government).
For her part, the UK diplomat expressed pleasure towards the government's reaction to Aden's incidents and showing self-control for regaining order.
