Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Abd-Rabbu al-Mahwali has stressed on the importance of introducing contemporary programs into technical education institutes to meet the demands of the local labor market in different fields.
In a ceremony held today to inaugurate the Department of Hairdressing and Tailoring at the National Institute of Technicians and Trainers at the District of Dar Saad in the interim capital Aden, he pointed to the importance of joint cooperation with all donors interested in supporting any technical training and rehabilitation programs in accordance with modern standards of community development.
For his part, the Dean of the National Institute of Technicians and Trainers, Eng. Aref Al-Materi, said that the newly opened department, which the Yemeni-Kuwaiti Relief Agency contributed to equipping, provides short courses for girls to qualify them to open their own small projects of hairdressing and tailoring.
