Transport Minister: IMO declares ports of Aden, Mukalla secure

Minister of Transport Saleh al-Jabwanihas unearthed that the International Marine Organization (IMO) announced Aden and Mukalla Ports secured zones.

Minister al-Jabwani expected in a statement published by Saudi based Okaz newspaper that different navigation trade companies will return to the ports during the forthcoming few days for boosting Yemen's economy. He thanked the Arab Coalition for helping the government in regaining order in ports and airports of Yemen.

Minister al-Jabwani made it clear that they agreed with the Saudi-led Coalition on operating Aden's port by its fully capacity after Saudi Ambassador to Yemen al-Jaber's visit to Aden Port recently and informed the IMO that the two ports of Aden and Mukalla are safe.

In return, the organization issued circulation to all marine trade companies and international safety companies on resuming navigation normally in the two ports.

Preparations are underway with the Saudi- led Coalition for reaching an agreement stating on transferring the process of the process of checking up from Jeddah Port to the Port of Aden and keeping checking process of ships heading to Hodeida Port in Djibouti, said al-Jabwani.

He confirmed that transferring checking process to Aden will activate trade activities and recovery of the Yemeni economy.
