Human Rights Minister inspects needs of immigrants

The Minister of Human Rights Mohammed Askar, the chairman of the National Committee for Investigating into Alleged Human Rights Abuses Ahmed Saeed and the Director of the High Commission for Refugees Director of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Jacqueline Parlevliet together inspected the needs of African immigrants in a refugee reception camp in Aden on Tuesday.
The visitors assessed the humanitarian needs of the immigrants and the level of sustenance and healthcare provided to them and the conformity of those services with the international standards.
Askar said the High Commission for Refugees should responsibility toward asylum seekers and provide seized immigrants with food and healthcare until the legal status of their immigration is resolved and decided on.
