Yemen, Saudi Arabia sign road rehabs project for Yemen

Yemen and Saudi Arabia signed on Wednesday a project for the rehabilitation of Yemen's roads and develop its related infrastructure, as the first contractin the massive humanitarian operation plan that Saudi Arabia announced for Yemen.
The project was signed by Yemen's Minister of Public Works and Roads, Moeen Abdul-Malik, and the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed Al Jaber at the Officers Club of the Armed Forces in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
In a press conference held after the signing, Abdul-Malik said that the project aims to reduce the cost of transporting goods and humanitarian assistance to all provinces without exception.
He said that the road rehabilitation will begin from central Yemen down to the Gulf of Aden port city. The rehabilitation will facilitate the transport of relief and commercial materials and will create job opportunities for a number of cities.
