Saudi Arabia's Cabinet has welcomed the pledge of more than $1.5 billion in aid as part of a massive humanitarian relief campaign that Saudi Arabia itself spearheads. The aid campaign was inaugurated in Riyadh on Monday and will continue in the form of multiple daily flights laden with aid to Yemen.
The Saudi Cabinet also hailed King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's orders to deposit $2 billion in Yemen's Central Bank to stabilize Yemen's currency, the Riyal, which plunged to historical lows as a result of the Iran-backed Houthi armed insurgency for more than three years.
