Marib begins receiving KSreliefairlift

Marib has begun receivingan airlift of humanitarian aid provided by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action (KSrelief) as part of the massive humanitarian plan the Saudi-led Arab Coalition announced for Yemen.

Two cargo planes brought 20 tons of food aid provided by KSrelief on Monday as part of an eight-day airlift with four cargo planes scheduled to arrive each day.

The two planes were welcomed by the Commander of the Arab Coalition in Marib Brigadier Ali Bin Sayer Al-Anzi and Marib's deputy governor Dr. Abed Rabbo Miftah and other local officials.

In a press statement, Miftah confirmed that the cargo planes which arrived today are the inauguration of an airlift of humanitarian aid as part of the Coalition's massive aid campaign

He said that this aid, which will continue to arrive, will be distributed to all the internally displacedand destitute people in Marib and the neighboring provinces.

Dr. Miftah thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the leadership of the United Arab Emirates and the rest of the Arab Coalition countries for their historical stand by the side of Yemen and its people.
