IOM rehabilitates schools in Shabwa

The International Organization for Migration has completed the project of rehabilitating and furnishing seven schools and constructing some facilities in Shabwa in 2017. The project cost USD 191.

IOM Aden Projects Director Mohamadba-Shafi', Shabwa Projects Director Mustafa al-Dhumaiji, Advisor of Shabwa Governor Ahmad al-Shami and Director of Education Office inspected theongoing work of rehabilitating ba-Katheer Public School in Ataq District.

Ba-Shafi', who stressed on re-considering final work at al-Hugair School for violating the agreement, directed the entrusted engineer not to receive any project violating the defined technical and engineering specifications.

He pointed out that the organization aimed by rehabilitating the schools for receiving war-displaced people to ensure schooling for children.

For his part, al-Dhumaiji noted that the organization has planed- in the framework of the project- on implementing training projects for increasing capabilities of education cadre and increasing their law awareness on children rights, in addition to providing learning tools and furnishing schools.

The projects were distributed on districts of Ataq, Murkha al-Sufla, Ain, Usailan and Rudhom.
