Yemen participates in international meeting on energy

Yemen has participated in the Eight Annual Meeting of the International Renewable Energy Agency hosted by the UAE here.
Minister of Electricity and Energy Eng. Abdullah al-Akwa headed Yemen's delegation.
In his speech in the meeting, al-Akwa' reviewed fields and chances of renewable energy in Yemen and promising future chances on working on providing clean sustainable energy, confirming positive reaction by people and self-initiative for using solar energy for facing increasingly demand of electricity in Yemen.
Worth to mention, the agency's meetings are annually held in Abu Dhabi, where the agency plans to achieve internationally usage of renewable energy and encourage countries to widely use sustainable and renewable energy.
It observers making policies and new strategies for discovering unknown capabilities of the renewable energy around the world.
Yemen joined the agency in 2014 by signing joining accord along with other 148 countries.
