PM orders urgent measures to improve services in Luhj province

Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dagher presided over meeting Monday in Aden, the interim capital brought together senior officials of local authority and executive offices in the province of Luhj.

The meeting aimed to discus services situations and the province need of development projects that can be included within the state general budget of 2018.

The prime minister ordered the minister of Electricity and Energy to provide the needed power and explore every potential solutions as soon as possible.

Bin-Dagher urged coordination and taking necessary measures to secure the needed educational staff and repair schools which suffered damages due to the armed conflict the province has experienced recently.

The prime minister also has approved one hundred million Yemeni Rail payment must be made available to address urgent priorities in the water sector to help improving water supplies in the province.

The prime minister, thus, approved a decree by appointing 60 persons who used to work for the government under temporary contracts as permanent government's employees.

The governor of Luhj Maj. General Ahmed Abdullah Atturki blamed Iran-backed Houthi militia war against the country—in general and on Luhj—in particular for devastating the infrastructure and turning Luhj into a disaster province.

The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr Mohammed Assa'adi, Minister Public Health and Populaiont Dr Nasser Ba'aum, Minister of Public Works and Highways Dr Ma'aeen Abdulmalik, and Deputy Minister of Electricity and Electricity Mubark Attamimi were in attendance
