Djibouti has welcomed the United Nations' recent report on Iranian interferences and valued the United States' position rejecting Iran's activities of supporting terrorist groups and violating International Resolutions.
"The Republic of Djibouti welcomes the report issued by the United Nations revealing Iranian aggressive and blatant interferences in internal affairs of the Republic of Yemen and providing Houthi rebel militia with dangerous and developed rocket capabilities posing severe dangers on lives of brother Yemeni people and threatening the security and stability of Saudi Arabia and the whole region," said a release issued by Foreign Ministry of Djibouti on Wednesday.
The release, which valued the United States' position on rejecting Iran's support to the terrorist groups, has called for quick action from the international community to take necessary measures for implementing the UN resolutions and punishing Iran on violating them and putting pressure on it to stop stark interferences in internal affairs of the regional countries.
Djibouti reconfirmed its full support to efforts of the UN envoy to Yemen for seeking political solutions to Yemen's crisis based on the three references: The GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.
It renewed also support for his efforts on easing provision of relief aid to alleviate suffering of the Yemeni people.
