The National Investigation Committee inspects human rights violation in Taiz

A delegation from the National Committee for Investigating Human Rights Violations Claims visited on Wednesday the Central Prison and Mawadem and Qahira Districts in Taiz.
The delegation inspected situations of prisoners and their legal situation and evaluated the rights they get.
The delegation visited also al-Gomhori Hospital, the second greatest public hospital in Taiz City, and investigated incidents of targeting it and damages hit the hospital sections over repeated shelling by Houthi militia.
The Vice President of the Committee Hussein al-Mashdali said his visit to Taiz will last for five days for investigating a number of violations against the city and its people.
For her part, the Spokesperson of the Committee Ishraq al-Maqtari said the committee came across- during its visit today- with difficult humanitarian conditions of prisoners over limited capabilities and scarcity of supporting services and the deteriorating condition of the facility over targeting it.
The delegation met with Head of Taiz Appeal Court Judge Ahmad al-Hamoudi and the Prosecutor Judge Abdulwahed al-Mikhlafi and other high ranking officials.
