The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSRelief),in cooperation with the WFP,has spent $142million worth of aid for Yemen since the start of the Yemen crisis in 2015, it was revealed on Wednesday by Dr. Samer Al-Jetaily, spokesman of KSRelief in a statement to the press.

"KSrelief continued to supply several (Yemeni) provinces with food aid," he said.

Together with the WFP, KSrelief implemented a relief aid program in Hodeidah province at a cost of $10 million. "The project took until August 17 to complete, it assisted more than 1,700,000 beneficiaries."

He said that KSrelief is currently working with CSOs to implement a program to deliver 28000 food packs to Saada, 24000 packs to Hajjah and 76000 oacks to Taiz.

He said KSrelief earlier implemented food aid programs in Marib, Aljawf and Hadhramout involving the distribution of 49,000 food packs and 35,000 big bags of flour for 185000 beneficiary persons.

The aid program for 2017 is still in progress at a cost of $239.8 million covering all Yemen's provinces, he said.
