Yemen denounces firing ballistic rocket on Saudi Arabia

The Republic of Yemen has denounced firing a ballistic rocket on Saudi capital Riyadh by Iran-backed Houthi militia.

"This aggressive conduct of targeting the Kingdom by ballistic rocket reflects how dangerous the extremist militia has become and reflects the high level of the Iranian influence on it," said Yemen's Foreign Ministry in a release issued on Tuesday.

Iran seeks to use this militia to hit regional and Arab security after helping it to cause huge destruction across Yemeni cities and districts stormed by the militia, added the release.

"In the time their crimes in Sana'a and areas under their control continue, killing crimes, terrifying, arrest, storming houses, looting them and bombing are practiced daily," the release went on.

The ministry added that the government- while waging its battle against this militia resisted by all Yemeni people spectrum and political and social factions with the help of brothers and friends- will not save any effort for eradicating this danger and beating all Iranian expansive aspirations via this militia.

Firing a new rocket on Riyadh, despite international and UN warns, is a prove on the militia challenge against the international community and its insistence on aggressive attacks disturbing the security of the region and the world and continuation supplying the militia with Iranian weapons are stark violation to the UN Security Council's resolutions, said the ministry.

The release demanded the International Community, sponsoring countries and the UN Security Council to take firm measures against the militia and blacklisting it as terrorist organization and holding Iran and forces supporting this militia accountable.
