Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

WHO reviews health accomplishments in Yemen

The World Health Organization has reviewed accomplishments of the project of supporting health services and emergency across liberated provinces.
The project is organized by WHO and financed by UAE Red Crescent.
In the meeting held by WHO on Monday here, Minister of Public Health and Population Naser Ba'om highlighted the significant role played by the UAE Red Crescent in supporting and providing health sector in liberated areas from Houthi militias, noting to cooperation between his ministry and supporting bodies for providing assistances to all Yemeni provinces including those under Houthi militia's control.
"The objective of this meeting is shedding light on the package of projects carried out by the project, which targeted 20 main hospitals in eight provinces (Aden, Abyan, Mahra, Hadhramout, Mareb, Taiz, Hodeida and Shabwa)," said Ba'om.
He added that the Ministry has provided medication package to the recently liberated Khoukha District in Hodeida and the two districts of Baihan and Usailan in Shabwa as a first step for normalizing conditions and services in liberated districts.
For his part, the Director of WHO's Office in Aden Hussein Younes reviewed services provided by the project like ambulance cars, rehabilitating hospitals, providing fuel, qualifying malnutrition units and training program to health cadre.
Valuing the Ministry's efforts for the success of the program, he confirmed continuing of implementing other health and service programs.
