Yemen's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Khaled al-Yemani discussed on Monday with Arab Ambassadors here aftermaths of the United States' recognition of Quds as a capital for Israel.
The meeting dealt with results of the Arab Foreign Ministers' Emergency Meeting in Cairo on Saturday December, 9 this year, and the authorization of Arab Group here to work on drafting a resolution to the UN Security Council demanding the United States to reverse its decision on Quds and confirm the recognition of Quds as Israeli capital contradicts international legitimacy and has no legal base.
The meeting tackled efforts on General Assembly level for resumption of the tenth Emergency Round of the UN General Assembly to issue suitable resolution on this regard.
The Convening diplomats approved quick efforts with other regional groups, especially, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other African, Latin and European groups for lobbying efforts of support and introducing the draft resolution to the UNSC before Christmas holidays.
The ambassadors approved keeping their council in a permanent meeting to follow up developments in the UN galleries.
