Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dagher received Tuesday the envoy of the GCC's Secretary General to Yemen Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Madkhal bin Dakheel Al-Hathli.
The prime minister blamed Houthi rebellious militia for disrupting political transition process in Yemen and leading the country into current devastating conflict. " Yemeni peoples along with brothers in the GCC member states were looking forward to build stable and secure Yemen, but warfare waged by Houthi barbaric militia against the state, the coup they carried out on September 21,2014, ended up in obstructing the political transition drive, seriously messing the nation's politics and crippling destruction in all walks of life".
Bin-Dagher highly praised military intervention by Saudi-led Arab Coalition and effective contribution by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other member states of the coalition. " Decisive Storm has made a difference in our temporary Arab history, effectively contributed toward curtailing Iranian expansion policy in Arab region", said the prime minister.
For his part, the GCC's Secretary General envoy said:" We in the GCC's member states were following the Yemeni government's actions and efforts aiming to renormalize situations, revive development drive and defeat the coup".
(Lt Gen) Al-Dakheel added:" We assured you through the message I convey to you from the GCC's Secretary General Dr Abdullatif Azyani that the GCC is standing with the Yemeni legal government, realizing that Yemen is very important for Saudi Arabia Kingdom and all GCC member states." Yemen's security and destiny is the GCC's".
