Houthi militia kills dozens and detonates their houses, say Tihamasources

The Houthi militia have abducted and killed dozens of people and detonated their houses in Tihama federal region, local sources said.

The Coordination Committee of Local Authority Leaders for al-Hodeida, Raymah, Hajja and Mahweet provinces of which Tihama federal region consists said in a new report that "the rebel militia haskilled and abducted dozens of people of Tihama since the martyrdom of the former President Ali Saleh (on December 4)."

"They detonated numerous houses in the said provinces," read the report of which Saba received a copy.

"In Hajja (alone) the militia has killed more than 20 persons and abducted 150 others and detonated 20 houses causing a collateral damage to 106 other houses in the vicinity."

"In Mahweet the militia abducted 49 persons and forced them to choose between forced disappearance or the detonation of their houses and they chose the former," said the report .

The report said the testimonies are mounting that the militia elimintaed one of the parliament members and tortured another one to death in the same province.

The report called on the UN organizations to take their responsibility in clamping down on those crimes, documenting the already committed anjd prosecuting the Houthi officials involved in those major abuses internationally.
