Workshop raises worker awareness on labor law

The Ministry of Social Affairs branch in Marib and Shahed Organization for Rights and Development launched on Saturday a 3-day workshop for ratcheting up the awareness of 20 private sector and mixed sector workers on Labor Law; the rights of labor and relations with employer inherent in the law.

The deputy governor of Marib Abdullah al-Bakiri said in an inaugural speech that such workshop is especially important in Marib province which is witnessing a business and development boom.

He said that the Yemeni labor law is one of the best in the Arab region for it has evolved over different stages and covered all the rights of the labor and employer and tacked the topics of insurance and vocational safety and health.
