Prime Minister arrives in United Arab Emirates on official visit
Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik arrived Wednesday in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on an official visit in response to an invitation from the leadership of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

Electricity : Consumption per day costs $million, revenues 500 millions YR per month, says minister

Total cost of fuels for electricity consumption per day estimated at $ 1 million dollar, while electricity serves revenues roughly make up 500 millions Yemeni Rials per month, this is nether reasonable nor acceptable, explained Minister of Electricity and Energy, Eng. Abdullah Al-Aqwa'a.
The minister chaired a meeting held in Aden, the interim capital, included high-rank officials and managers in charge in the Ministry of Electricity and Energy and General Corporation of Electricity and Energy in Aden. The gathering aimed to discuss problems facing electricity sector and explore possible solutions.
Officials in charge of electricity institutions were urged to work out practical suggestions for an inclusive and applicable plan to improve electricity services that have seriously deteriorated to the war triggered by the coup militias.
Al-Aqwa'a highlighted the urgency for launching responsible and serious campaigns aiming to collect due bills and tackle the problems related to illegal electricity consumption that caused heavy damage to electricity network.
The minister praised support provided by the United Arab Emirates for electricity sector including repairing Mocha power station.
