Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhybeh has called for establishing a hospital in Yemen that offers traditional Chinese medicine services alongside modern medical services.

Anti-cholera response campaign launched in Hadhramout

The Quick Response Campaign for fighting cholera has been launched on Monday. The campaign is carried out by General Authority for Rural Areas Water Projects (GARAWP) and financed by the UNICEF.
In the three-day long campaign, eight voluntaries of the authority are receiving training on awareness and dealing with cholera suspected cases.
The clean environment of Hadhramout has helped in avoiding cholera, said Assistant Deputy Governor of Hadhramout for the Valley and Desert Affairs Hisham al-Saeedi, stressing on awareness of protection against the epidemic.
For his part, General Director of GARAWP Hussam Ghaithan pointed that the project will work on enlightening participants how to deal with suspected cases and surrounding area, as well as making field visits and distributing health bags and brochures including guiding instructions on personal hygiene.
Meanwhile, Director of the Ministry of Public Health and Population Office in Hadhramout the Valley and the Desert confirmed that no single case of choler infection registered in the Valley.
