An authorized source at the Ministry of Interior has said the humanitarian losses of the terrorist attack on the Criminal Investigative Bureau have reached 18 martyrs and 35 wounded.
The bureau is a department under Aden's Police.
In a statement to Saba, the source confirmed that the military and security forces have recaptured the bureau from the terrorists and the forces are cleansing the location and nearby areas from terrorists.
The process of cleansing included interrupted clashes between security forces and terrorist elements, who took inmates in the building as human shields, a matter needed cautious acts fearing of lives of the hostages, said the source, referring the delay of settling to this reason and in hope that the terrorist will surrender but took the decision of storming the building after terrorists rejected surrender.
"The security forces managed to enter the police camp and stationed in and deployed around the building of the criminal investigation," said the source.
"As the terrorist elements failed {to resist,} security forces stormed the building and cleansed it from evil and terrorist elements."
