Justice Minister: All courts in liberated provinces work normally

Minister of Justice Judge Jamal Omer has confirmed that all courts in liberated provinces have been working normally for months and settle all disputes.
The criminal courts specialized in serious crimes in Aden and Mukalla have been opened and are waiting for receiving files from the general prosecution for settling included issues, he said.
Speaking to Saba on Wednesday, Minister Omer stated that the Judiciary Compound in Aden has been opened and a number of court buildings have been rehabilitated.
Earlier, Minister of Justice, along with Attorney General, met with the UN delegation of the High Commission for Human Rights and briefed them on the role of judiciary and courts in realizing justice and enhancing human rights, as well as respecting the rule law.
Minister Omer confirmed they have received a number of files including issues referred by the National Committee for Investigating Human Rights claims of violations to be addressed.
He called on the UN delegation to support mechanisms of supporting national mechanisms for investigations as entrusted body in the field. He welcomed any UN expertise for providing technical and logistic support.
He demanded the delegation to relocate their offices to Aden, away of any political effects.
