Governor of Socotra Archipelago Ahmad al-Socotri launched on Sunday distribution of food aid granted from Turkey.
The assistances, which are provided by Turkish Red Crescent, include 7 thousand sack of wheat flour, weight 25 KG.
In the inauguration ceremony, governor al-Socotri valued efforts Turkish Red Crescent and keenness on the delivery of the assistances. He pointed out that the aid will be distributed to very poor families across the province.
He confirmed that a committee, chaired by Deputy Governor for Islands Affairs, will be entrusted on the distribution.
