Yemen seeks more support from Germany

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Mansour Bajjash discussed on Sunday with German Charge d'Affairs in Yemen Pan Cruiser mutual relations between the two countries.

Bajjash valued German's political and humanitarian support in facing Houthi-Saleh coup, confirming continuation of German support to Yemen and exerting pressure on rebels in all international forums to implement the UN resolutions, led by resolution 2216 and to respect the three peace references.

He demanded similar support from Germany during reconstruction in Yemen.

He confirmed that the Yemeni government aims at realizing just and permanent peace and welcomes all Yemeni components as political, not as militias and armed gangs and that all issues are subjected to discussion around negotiation table in the framework of the three references; The GCC Initiative, the Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216.

For his part, the German Diplomat expressed his country's follow up of the situation in Yemen and concern of deteriorating humanitarian situation resulted from the coup (Houthi-Saleh's coup against the state).

He re-affirmed that German acknowledges only the government under President Hadi and hoped to resume its duties from the capital Sana'a after regaining all the state's institutions.
