New US strategy on Iran exposes Iranian intervention, Bin-Mubarak says
[19/10/2017 06:54]

WASHINGTON-SABA
Yemen's Ambassador to the United States Dr. Ahmed Awadh bin-Mubarak said the new US strategy concerning Iran is a strong message that exposes the Iranian intervention and use of Houthis as puppets in Yemen to destabilize the whole region.

In a speech at the annual Arab-US Policymakers Conference organized by the National Council on US-Arab Relations in Washington, bin-Mubarak said the Yemen war was imposed by the Saleh-Houthi militias on the government and the ending of it is down to the rebels themselves.

He said that the Arab military intervention prevented Yemen from becoming a hostage in the hands of the coupers.

Bin-Mubarak renewed the keenness of the government, represented by President Abdu Rabbu M. Hadi, in reaching a political settlement through the UN based on the three agreed upon references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UNSC resolutions mainly resolution no, 2216.

Bin-Mubarak said that some falsifications are in circulation in the international media and US media in particular as to the Yemeni crisis; concerning, for example, the cause of the ongoing conflict, and the alleged blockade and denial of humanitarian aid entry to Yemen , as propagandized by the coupers' local media.
He said that the Arab Coalition operation in Yemenwas a rush to the rescue of a hijacked nation upon the demand of its legitimate leader.

He said that the claims of coalition blockade on Yemen is baseless and that the as per the UNSC resolutions, the UN inspects the vessels bound for militia-held seaports to prevent smuggling of weapons to Yemen. Bin-Mubarak renewed the government's support for the UN Special Envoy Ismail OuldCheikh's efforts to achieve peace.

He noted that the Government had agreed to envoy's proposals concerning the Hodeida seaport and is now looking forward to a round of peace talks to discuss these proposals to reach a settlement. Senior US political and military officials attended the meeting.
