ALHODIDAH-SABA
The mothers of a number of peaceful activists abducted by the Saleh-Houthi militias have staged a rally in Hodeidah on Saturday to protest at torturing of their children in jails.
The women who have organized themselves in the "Abductees' Mothers Alliance" accused the militias of abducting a man by the name Fayez Ghaleb al-Adoofi on his wedding night in Ajarrahi city, Hodeidah, and torturing him to death a few days ago.
They called on the international community to quickly intervene to rescue their kidnapped sons and secure their unconditional release.
The mothers have, for long, been staging periodical protests before the UN offices and militia-run jails to demand their children's release.
Last June they accused the radical militias of assaulting their sons cruelly in prisons and going in dehumanizing them to the extent of stripping them naked in Habrah Jail in Sana'a.
The militias use, among many techniques, electric shocks, beatings, and sleep deprivation, as well as psychological torture.
