The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has expressed reservations on the UN report on violations against children in Yemen for its inaccurate information based on misleading sources.

" The organization has hoped the report honestly included prime reasons led to intervention of the Arab Coalition in Yemen after Saleh-Houthi militias' coup against the legitimate authority in Yemen andthreatened the safety and security of the region and committed malicious crimes against citizens and children and used citizens as human shields in a stark breach of the international and humanitarian laws," said the Secretary General of the Organization Yousof bin Ahmad al-Othaimeen in a press release.

He praised great keenness of the Saudi-led Coalition on safety of Yemeni citizens including children as it is working on restoring the legitimacy and fighting terrorism in Yemen, adding that the kingdom is the greatest humanitarian supporter to Yemeni people, a matter which has been reflected during the recent meeting of the UN General Assembly on providing humanitarian assistances to Yemen.

The countries of the coalition are exerting great efforts for supporting peace process brokered by the UN Envoy to Yemen for reaching a political settlement in accordance with the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216, he said.

He asserted commitment to objective methodology while writing such reports to protect credibility of the United Nations.
