Yemen participates in Arab Conference on woman's rights

Yemen's Permanent Mission at the Arab League participated on Sunday in the activities of the Arab Conference on Good Practices and Regional Opportunities to boost woman's rights and equality in having citizenship by a delegation headed by Ahmad Agroom.
The conference discusses, in two days, the principle of woman's rights in citizenship laws in Arab countries and equality between the two sexes in national legislations.
The delegation of Yemen made an intervention on woman's rights in citizenship law No.6 for 1990 and steps of improving this law until Yemen has become in the top list of countries giving woman equal rights with a man.
The intervention dealt with aspects of improving legislations aiming at enabling Yemeni woman of constitutional and legal rights for getting citizenship and reforms made on Yemeni legislations and efforts exerted by Yemeni female organizations and associations in fields of woman's rights.
