Bajjash acquainted the Ambassador about the developments of the political track in Yemen renewing the government's welcoming of the UN Envoy Ismail Ould Cheikh's peace proposals.
He indicated the government's interest in alleviating the suffering that the Yemeni people are enduring as a result of the coup.
He called on Russia to exert more efforts, within the G18 sponsors of political settlement, to have the UN resolutions especially the UNSC resolution 2216 enforced on the Saleh-Houthi coup militias.
The Ambassador hailed the high level of Russo-Yemen relations and coordination. He expressed Russia's interest in making the political settlement a success.
The Ambassador said the intransigent refusal to return to peace consultations does not serve the hoped-for political settlement in Yemen.
