Prime Minister Ahmed bin-Daghr has affirmed the government's resolve to crack down on al-Qaeda terror organization and drain its resources.
The premier made the remarks as he received the Maj. Gen. Abu Bakr Hussein, the governor of Abyan, the province where the army and popular resistance achieved victory over al-Qaeda elements, some of the province's districts.
The premier was given an account on the plans and implementation of the battles that led to the storming of al-Qaeda hideouts and arrest of a number of its leaders in cooperation with the local people and the Arab Coalition forces.
The premier urged for raising security alert and the effective intelligence work to guard against the destabilizing activities in Abyan, and by extension, Lahj, Dhale'a and Aden provinces.
