Italy committed to offering humanitarian aid to Yemen, FM Afano

The Italian foreign minister Angelino Alfano said his country is committed to offering humanitarian aid to Yemen and has so far donated €10 million and other aids to Yemen through the UNICEF and other funds and the support will continue during the year 2018.
Alfano made the remarks during his reception by President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi in New York. .
President Hadi praised the Italian support to Yemen through the EU and all international platforms of support. Hadi gave the Italian official an account on the Saleh-Houthi coup d'état and the catastrophic impact that the Yemeni people have been enduring as a result of it since it started.
Hadi made clear that Iran continues to supply the coupists with arms and finance, a violation already known and document by the UN. The Italian official said his country supports the achievement of peace in Yemen and supports the efforts of the UN Special Envoy to Yemen in this regard.
