Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdul-Malik al-Makhlafi discussed today with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China TianChi the Sino-Yemeni relations.
Al-Makhlafipraised the depth of the Yemeni-Chinese relations recalling that the Chinese Embassy held fast alongside the Republicans during the royalists' attack against the Republicans in Sana'a in 1962. And today the friendly China is taking the side of the Republic of Yemen. .
Al-Makhlafiexpressed the Yemeni political leadership'skeenness to strengthen and further these relations.
He reviewed the developments on the national scene and the Saleh-Houthi coup militias' violation of human rights.
He pointed out that the Yemeni government is working hard to end the suffering of the Yemeni people caused by the coup.
He also stressed the need for continuous coordination with the friendly Republic of China on various regional and international issues, since China is a key partner in making peace in the region, praising China's supportive stance toward the Palestinian people.
The two officials discussed the arrangements for the upcoming Arab-Chinese ministerial meeting next year, hoping that this meeting will further strengthen the Arab-Chinese partnership.
The Chinese Ambassador stressed his country's firm support to Yemen and the UN Envoy Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed's proposals for peace in Yemen.
