HRITC: Coup militias overrun village, displace residents

The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) said that the Saleh-Houthi coup militias have overrun the village of Khour in western Taiz forcing the displacement of its residents.

In a statement to Saba, the HRITC said that "the militia fighters have besieged the village, located in Adhabab area in western Taiz, since Tuesday afternoon before storming it today, Wednesday, and forcing its residents to leave under the threat of firearms."

Locals told the HRITC's monitoring team that the militias fired on the residents forcing them to run in large numbers and the panicked survivors have lost count of how many fellow villagers were killed in the shooting.

The HRITC collected lists and names of the following survivors: ZakariaMahyoob, 34 years old, Ali Ebrahim,22, Hisham Hassan, 37, MoktarMoqbel 28, Abdullah Mahyoob, 22, Hussein Asharaabi, 45, Abdullah Saddam, 24, Mrs. Khatimah Hassan, 55, YahyaMoqbel, 60, Marwan Omari, 43, GhassanMahyoob, 25, Abdullah Saddam, 42, NajibHazaa, 42, Mrs. Saeeda Hassan 55 and Ali Noaman 43.
