Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid bin-Daghr said Wednesday the Yemeni people "will not accept to be ruled by an armed militia that does not believe in the federal state and rejects democracy and rights and freedoms."
Bin-Daghrmade the remarks during a meeting with military and paramilitary leaders from Oseilan and Beihan districts of the south eastern province of Shabwah. The two districts have for long been resisting attempts by the Saleh-Houthi coup militias to take over.
He issued directives to the government to send all the necessary medicinesmedical supplies to the healthcare centers in these districts and to pay overdue salaries to the health personnel in there.
He said that the two districts constitute "a symbol of resistance againstoppression", hailing the heroic sacrifices of the national warriors.
"We will force the Houthis and Saleh to return to the option of a just comprehensive peace, lay down their arms and withdraw from the cities," he said.
