Minister of Education praises UAE support

Upon returning from the UAE to Aden on Friday, Minister of Education Abdullah Lamlas has affirmed the importance of cooperation deals agreed with the Gulf country. In a statement to Saba, Lamlas said he found serious desire on the UAE leadership's side to correct the educational irregularities in Yemen to help the country make a leap forward in this field.

He said that a timetable roadmap was agreed for offering generous UAE aid to achieve the ministry's visions and plans, print the school textbooks in abundance and integrate the school books of the primary education schools to cope with the modern knowledge.

As per the timetabled plan, the UAE will host a delegation of educational experts next month to set a reference framework for that textbook integration and update and to prepare the instructors' manual as well as set a schedule for teacher training.

The minister said that will also go in tandem with the rehabilitation of the Center of Educational Research and Development in Aden.

The UAE will support printing Yemen's textbooks with USD 10 million.

The minister said that it is no unusual that the UAE and its wise leadership to offer such a generous support to Yemen. He said that UAE sacrificed blood that mixed with Yemeni blood in battles against the coup Saleh-Houthi militias.
