Anti-cholera awareness campaign launched in Hadhramout

The deputy governors of Hadhramout Abdul-Hadi Atameemi and Salem bin Sharman have launched in Hadhramout today a national campaign for raising anti-cholera awareness.
The campaign is carried out by the Ministry of Public Health and financed by the WHO and UNICEF.
The campaign which spans from 19 to 24 August aims to stem the tide of cholera prevalence by raising people's appreciation of the importance of hygiene and educating the general public about handling cases of diarrheal infections in general.
Teams will be conducting house-to-house visits to educate households on how to wash hands properly with soap and water and how to prepare rehydration fluids at home.
