Educational TV to be launched in Aden

The Ministry of Education and the Yemeni-Kuwaiti Relief Authority signed on Wednesday here a memo of understanding to operate an educational and scientific TV for promoting education sector in a number of liberated provinces.
The agreement worth USD 500 thousands.

Minister of Education Abdullah Lamlas told Saba that the agreement includes the authority is committed to establish an educational TV to improve education in Yemen within the "Kuwait by your Side Campaign."

For his part, the Head of of the Authority ShawqiMahfoudh said the project will work on improving capabilities of education, noting that the authority has earlier signed an agreement supporting the ministry with a number of projects for qualifying schools in Aden, Lahj, Abyan and Dhale' and constructing additional facilities in the ministry.

Mahfoudh clarified that the schools which will be rehabilitated are 50; 17 in Dhale', Lahj 15, Abyan nine and nine in Aden and that the authority will print schoolbooks for the first class of the basic education.
