Workshop highlights youth role in peace building and development

A workshop was held in Aden on Saturday to highlight the role of young people in peace-building and development.
The workshop was organized by Akon Foundation for Rights and Freedoms in Aden.
At the inauguration, the financial manager of Akon, Ahad Aghsous said that the workshop which coincides with the World Youth Day aims to highlight the role of the young generations in development, and the mechanisms of ensure their rights and duties.
Presented working papers focused on how to empower the youth into participating in peace building and on sustainable development and safety.
The participants called for better heeding of youth issues and awareness about their aspirations in the field of development and for devising a national action plan on youth, peace and security in accordance with the international frameworks of relevance.
